Why Do Women Menstruate?
Menstrual Period is the cyclical changes that cause endometrial bleeding occur periodically. Normally women will release ovum every month and if it is fertilized, the endometrium will constantly grow with the assistance of female estrogen as to provide nutrition for the fetus; if it is not fertilized, hormone secretion is reduced and endometrium will flow out of the vagina due to lack of nutrition. This bleeding is called a period. This whole cycle is called menstruation.

    Menstrual period is the 1st signal to determine women pregnancy and also to use as guideline for expected delivery date.
    Changes in menstrual period cycle and volume are the important signals for any women disease diagnosis.
    Periodical blood loss is good for eliminating excessive iron.
    Promote hematopoietic function which generates new bloods.

How to Determine If Discharge Is Normal?
Abnormal discharge colour is yellow to light brown and carry fishy smell; normal discharge is more pure white, its stickiness is depending on the menstrual cycle stages, lesser and cleaner before ovulation and more after ovulation. Every women definitely encounters certain amount of discharge and this is normal unless you feel extreme itchiness, heaty or odour.
